Our Ministry Leaders
Fullbridge Church is led by a team of elders who have the responsibility of caring for the people in the church. They are called to lead by example, and make decisions.
The Bible calls the elders to:
- ‘Shepherd’ the church
- Teach sound doctrine
- Direct and oversee the affairs of the church
- Deal with difficulties and disputes and be ready to silence error
- Be ready to go and pray with those who are ill
“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.” Hebrews 13:17
Simon & Judy – Church Leader
Simon and Judy moved to Maldon in 1992 and have been members of Fullbridge Church since then. They have 3 adult children and 6 grand-children They spent 10 years in Brazil involved in working with a new church in a poor suburb, visiting the local prisons to befriend and offer bible course to prisoners and working with students in a large federal university. Judy spends lots of time encouraging the grand-children and daily support for her 100-year-old mum who is living with us for the time being. Simon works for Maldon District Council. He joined the leadership of the church in 2016.
Andrew & Rachel Mugford – Church Leader
We have lived in Maldon since 1996 and been on the leadership at Fullbridge since around 2004. Our 4 now-adult children have grown up through Fullbridge and we really appreciate the “all age family” that Fullbridge Church is. We both work with the church on community projects like the Job Club and School Chaplaincy at Plume Academy.
Our Deacons
The Deacons at Fullbridge Church manage the practical side of church life. On the general notice board there is a list of jobs showing who does what.
The specific areas each deacon is responsible for are:
- Building and maintenance – Richard Reynolds
- Events – Ralph Springett
- Courses, certifications and their administration – Ann Frost
Ann & Terry Frost – Deacon
Terry and I have been members of Fullbridge since 2006 and involved, Ann as a Deacon, and, Terry in children’s work and in service leading since 2010. We enjoy assisting the various social event activities, the Christmas shoebox appeal and were fortunate to be part of a mission trip to Swaziland.
Richard & Sarah Reynolds – Deacon
We have been part of Fullbridge Church since 2001 and from the beginning were welcomed into the church family here. We have been involved in a variety of ways over the years, including leading the youth work between 2003 and 2018. Richard has served as a deacon for many years now and we also lead a homegroup. We are blessed with 3 adult sons and 3 delightful daughters-in-law and look forward to grandchildren numbers 5 and 6 arriving during 2021.
Ralph & Gilly Springett – Deacon
We have lived in Heybridge and Maldon for 45 years – all our married life. We have two married children who have blessed us with five adorable grandchildren. We became Christians in the early 80s and have worshiped at Fullbridge since 2001. For many years we ran the Operation Christmas Child shoebox appeal warehouse in Maldon and over the past year have been involved with the Covid response volunteers in the local community. Ralph serves as a Deacon and we both love being part of the Fullbridge Church family.
Sarah Reynolds – Church Treasurer
The Bible also calls the deacons to:
