Elders and Deacons

Elders and their Wives

Fullbridge Church is led by a team of elders who have the responsibility of caring for the people in the church. They are called to lead by example, and make decisions.

The Bible calls the elders to:

  • ‘Shepherd’ the church
  • Teach sound doctrine
  • Direct and oversee the affairs of the church
  • Deal with difficulties and disputes and be ready to silence error
  • Be ready to go and pray with those who are ill

“Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.”   Hebrews 13:17

 Deacons & Church Treasurer

The Deacons at Fullbridge Church manage the practical side of church life. On the general notice board there is a list of jobs showing who does what.

The specific areas each deacon is responsible for are:
Building and maintenance – Richard Reynolds

The Church Treasurer is Malcolm Pickard.

The Bible also calls the deacons to:

  • Be Christians who are worthy of respect
  • Keep the truths of the faith

[Deacons] who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 3:13
