Home group questions for those who have finished the questions in the book – Colossians 2:6-15.

1.Paul says we have been brought to fullness in Christ Jesus – take a look at Ephesians 1:3-
14 where he fleshes that out. Is this your experience of living your life for Christ? There
are usually some aspects we struggle to grasp – take a moment to pray as you start your
time together, for help from the Holy Spirit to understand in head and heart what Paul
describes here in Ephesians.

2.What practical things can you do to “continue to live your lives” in Christ (Col.2:6)? How
can you stay rooted in Christ, built up in Christ, strengthened in faith in Christ, and
overflowing in thankfulness (v.7)?
Your answers might not seem that radical! That’s okay – but make sure you do some
hard thinking about how you will put them into practice, and share them with the group
so that you can keep one another accountable.

3. Read slowly through v.9-15 three or four times (you might like to use different
translations, too). Share with your group the one thing that stood out for you.
How does Paul present Jesus Christ as fully dependable for us to trust for our salvation
and continued walk with him in this life?

4.When bad / evil things happen – whether they affect us personally or whether we hear
about them on the news – we can be tempted to question where the victory of God in
Christ’s death and resurrection really is. How does v.15 help to correct our perspective?
