Notices for Sunday 22nd October

Welcome to this morning’s service – The service leader today is Terry Frost and the speaker is Paul Gymer.

Tea and coffee will be available in the back hall after the service and Julian and Gavin are responsible for this.

Please join us at 10.10 in the upstairs youth room for prayer before the service. If you would like someone to pray with you after the service today Ross and Bertie will be available.

Please remember in your prayers
Margaret Hetzel and family following John’s death last week.

Andy Mugford would be grateful for your prayers as he takes the service at West Thurrock Chapel today.

CAMEO If you are free tomorrow afternoon please join us for an informal time of fellowship at 2.00 at CAMEO.
“Improve your understanding of the Bible.” We have probably been on lots of courses on lots of different subjects but have you ever been on a 4 session course about how to read the Bible. If not now is your chance. It would be a great investment and worth the extra effort to spend each Sunday evening in November from 7.00pm to 8.30 going through some important principles of how to understand the Bible. If you would like to be a part of this please speak to Simon as soon as you can”.
Thursday 30 November: Maldon Vintage Christmas Fayre Please put this in your diaries as we have a carol-singing stand again and opportunities to give out our literature. We will be co-ordinating the event through home groups over the next few weeks.

Home Groups For the evening groups please contact your leaders for information.
The Friday group will be meeting at Jos’s home.

Home group questions
1. How important is the resurrection to you?
2. Is it important that Jesus called Mary by name (John 20.16)?
3. In John 20 v 17 we have the odd expressions “My Father and your Father … My God and Your God”. Why did Jesus not simply say “Our Father … Our God” (he never uses these terms except when teaching his disciples how to pray)? And is there a connection between “do not hold on to me” and “I am returning …”?
If you would like to make up a box there are some self-assembly boxes at the church and they are 40p each. Once you have filled a box please return it to Fullbridge.

Essex Counties Support Meeting – Sunday November 12th
The meeting will begin formally at 5pm but there will be time before and after to view the “Key to Life?” resource. Tea and cake will be provided and Broomfield Road Evangelical Church has extended an invitation to join them for their evening service at which Doug Barnett will be speaking.
