Sunday’s news

Welcome to this morning’s service.  The service leader today is Paul Gymer and the speaker is Alan McCormick.  Please join us for tea and coffee in the back hall after the service.   

Advance Notice There will be a bring and share lunch on Sunday 2nd April.

Tea and Coffee rota  Phil Rowden and Peter Lamb are responsible for tea and coffee today and next week it will be Carolyn and Julian.

Please join us at 10.10  in the upstairs youth room for  prayer before the service.  Everyone is invited especially if you are involved in the service or with the children’s groups.  If you would like someone to pray with you after the service Paul Gymer and Barbara Diaper will be available.

Please continue to pray for those who have ongoing health problems.

Andy Mugford would be grateful for your prayers as he takes the service at Sunnymede Church, Billericay this morning.

The March Missionary offering  for Medical Missionary news amounted to  £612.50 which has been rounded up to £620.

On Saturday 8th April  at 4.00pm Rickstones Church, Witham invite you to “Christ in the Passover” which will be presented by Julia Pasco the UK Director of Jews for Jesus.  Admission is free (an offering will be taken for the work of Jews for Jesus.)  Please book online at  There is a poster with details on the notice board in the back hall.

Our  Annual Fellowship Meeting  will take place this afternoon at 4.00 and you should have received an emailed copy of the agenda.  There will be a bring and share tea afterwards.  As we have cakes left from Michelle’s Thanksgiving Service on Friday afternoon  savoury items only required.

Spring cleaning day Make a note in your diary that there will be a Church Spring cleaning day on Saturday 6th May.

Home Groups will be meeting this week as follows:

Judith and Roger’s group will be meeting at Richard and Sheila’s.

Carol and Phil’s group will be meeting at Ann and Terry’s.

Richard and Sarah’s group will be meeting at Simon and Judy’s.

The Friday group will be meeting at Beryl’s.

Sunday morning children’s activities

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities.

We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, who meet upstairs.

Pepper and Mustard+  Infant and Junior groups, for up to secondary school age, who meet downstairs in the back hall.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

If you wish to use the church at any time please contact Valerie Lamb.

Maldon Food Bank If you would like to contribute there is a box in the entrance hall for donations of non-perishable food.

Notices  If you have any items for the notices please let Sheila Little have them by Friday lunch time.  

If you borrow anything from the church please make a note on the list in the kitchen of when you borrow it and when you return it.
