Notices for 1 January

Welcome to our all age service.  The service leader and speaker today is Matt Springett.  Please join us for tea and coffee in the back hall after the service. If you would like prayer after the service please speak to one of the elders.

Tea and Coffee rota Peter Lamb and Phil Rowden are responsible for tea and coffee today and next week it will be Rob Lamb and Rob Bennett.

A Prayer meeting is held in the upstairs youth room every  Sunday morning before the service  Everyone is invited to join us especially if you are involved in the service or with the children’s groups.

Church Directory   We are planning to update the church directory soon.  If your details have changed please let Paul Gymer know as soon as possible.

Prayer requests   If you have any urgent prayer requests please email them to Michael Chambers.

Magazine rack There are new issues of the Open Doors and Barnabas Aid magazines in the rack.

Bank Holiday 2nd January New Year’s Walk.  Don’t forget that if you would like to walk off some of the excesses of Christmas there is a walk tomorrow,  2nd January, at 10 am with a coffee stop at Costa in the High Street at 11.30. If you don’t want to do the walk please join us for coffee at Costa.   For more information contact Rob Bennett.

Wednesday 26th – Saturday 28th January 2017   We are setting aside these four days for prayer in the New Year.  There will be repeated sessions each day – at 10am and 8pm so that as many as possible can join us as we seek the Lord over His direction for us into the New Year and beyond.  Please put these dates in your 2017 diary.  More details will follow after Christmas.

Home Groups The Home Groups will be meeting for communion and prayer.Shirley’s group at Richard and Sheila’s.For the other evening groups please contact your home group leaders.The Friday group will be meeting at Val and Peters.

Children’s groups

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities.

We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, who meet upstairs.

Pepper and Mustard+  Infant and Junior groups, for up to secondary school age, who meet downstairs in the back hall.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

Maldon Food Pantry

There is a box in the entrance hall if you wish to put in gifts for the food pantry.

If you wish to use the church at any time please contact Valerie Lamb.
