News | 4 December 2016

I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, not anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 9 vs 37 – 39

Welcome to this morning’s Service  The service leader today is Andy Mugford and the speaker is Simon Quelch. Today’s service is not an all age service and the children will go to their groups as normal.

Please join us for tea and coffee in the back hall after the service.  Gavin Fuller and Carolyn Hammond are responsible for teas and coffees this week.

A Prayer meeting is held every Sunday morning before the service in the upstairs youth room.  Everyone is invited to join us especially if you are involved in the service or with the children’s groups.  If you would like someone to pray with you after the service this morning  Phil and Anne Reeve will be available.

WordAlive 2017 We have 5 spaces which have come free in a chalet, so if anyone would like to join the rest of us going to Word Alive from 8-13 April 2017, please let Sarah Reynolds know as soon as possible.

Today is the last opportunity to let Helen know if your children would like to come to the Pepper, Mustard+ and Mustard Christmas Party next Sunday at 4pm.  Remember they can bring a friend.

Photos please!  You may have noticed (we hope you have!) that the notice boards in the back hall have had a facelift over the last couple of months. We’re gradually refining the content and would like to add some more up-to-date photographs to the ‘Fullbridge Family’ board. So, if you have any recent photographs of events/groups at Fullbridge or of activities organised by the church, e.g. outreach events, please can you email them to Emma. We’d also appreciate photographs of the events which will be happening over the festive season so perhaps you could put your smartphones and cameras to work over the next few weeks. Many thanks in advance from Emma and Valerie

Prayer request from Hannah Henderson Please continue to bring to the Lord the work that is done at the drop-in centre at King’s Cross on Tuesday nights.

Twiddle Muffs These are hand muffs with extra sensory objects attached that care home residents who are suffering from dementia find comforting and also aid stimulation.

Could you make one?  Or, do you have some sensory extras sitting in drawers at home that you could donate to decorate the muffs?  These include big buttons, bells, big beads, ribbon or other material that has a distinctive feel.  Other ideas can be found by putting “Twiddle muffs pattern” into Google.  If you can help please contact Rachel and andy as they would like to give some out to the residents at Brewster House, Longfield and The Lodge.

Children’s groups

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities.

We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, who meet upstairs.

Pepper and Mustard+  Infant and Junior groups, for up to secondary school age, who meet downstairs in the back hall.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

If you wish to use the church at any time please contact Valerie Lamb.
