  • If you don’t have access to the internet ask Helen for a paper copy of the details.

Also  please remember to pray for Fuse:

  • That we would grow in our knowledge and love of God.
  • That God would prepare our hearts for what He has to say to us and that He would open our ears and eyes.
  • That we will know a real sense of unity and purpose.
  • That the weekend would be positive and enjoyable on every level.

Ann Frostthanks everyone who sponsored the walk over the O2 Arena last Sunday – they survived and raised over £300 – well over their  target of £75. This money will be used to help purchase some of the resources needed for the “Challenge to Change” programmes in the prison and the new “Challenge to Change” project in Hampshire.

Tea and Coffee rota  Ann Frost and Rob Lamb are responsible for teas and coffees this week.  Next week it will be Carolyn Hammond and Gavin Fuller.

Please continue to pray for those people with ongoing health problems.

Calling all Singers and/or Musicians…
As a music group, we have seen a lot of changes over the last year.  The number of singers has been depleted and we’ve lost 2 very talented musicians. We would like to encourage anyone with any level of ability to join us at our bi-weekly Monday practices at church (we have one this Monday the 10th) and we only meet for an hour from 7.30 – 8.30pm, so it’s not a big commitment.

Our aim is to practise and learn new songs and the songs for Sunday (if we have them).  You may not feel confident enough to sing/play on a Sunday, but we would love to see people who are just interested in ‘making a joyful  noise’ and maybe that could lead to a more active role in due course.  We certainly will not ask anyone to do anything they are not comfortable with, but sometimes we have to ‘step out of the boat’ and follow God’s calling.

God loves us to worship Him and wants us to be His vessels, ready to lead the Church in singing/playing, which leads to praise and worship, so please pray about your potential role in this very important aspect of Church life and have a chat with Rachel or Louise if you’re interested in finding out more.

Message from the Leadership regarding Open House – “During the first part of the year we held “Open House” on Sunday evenings in the homes of different people.  The elders thought that it might give more opportunity to have informal fellowship with one another especially, but not exclusively, for some who felt alone at the end of the weekend.  After several months of seeing how attractive it would be, we have decided that it has not been popular enough and so there will be no more Open House evenings for the time being.  We would like to thank those who opened up their homes and made their guests feel welcome.”

Children’s groups

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities.

We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, who meet upstairs.

Pepper and Mustard+  Infant and Junior groups, for up to secondary school age, who meet downstairs in the back hall.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

If you wish to use the church at any time please contact Valerie Lamb.

Maldon Food Bank If you would like to contribute there is a box in the entrance hall for donations of non-perishable food.
