Children’s Holiday Club at the Methodist Church in Maldon. Monday 25 July to Friday 29 July 2016 10am to 12 noon. The Club will use Scripture Union’s ‘The Guardians of Ancora’ material.

Here’s a quick taster:

Once, the Hall of Memory in the city of Ancora was filled with wonderful story treasures, each a reminder of one of the great stories of the Saga (the Bible).  Now, many of those objects have been lost. Each day at the club, the task of the Guardians (the children and young people) will be to find a lost story treasure, return it to the Hall of Memory and explore the story that it represents. As the Hall fills up, the Guardians will discover how each story fits together to reveal more about who Jesus is and how they might develop their own relationship with him, through craft, puppets, music, drama, lots of laughter and more.   For more details email: messymaldonmethodist@hotmail.co.uk

Men’s BBQ – 12 July  Invitations  are available  – please take one/some and share with friends.  In order that we can plan the catering, we need numbers confirmed to Ralph by Sunday 3 July.  Alongside the practical planning, please pray for Gant Smith as he plans what he will say and for a positive response from friends/colleagues who are invited.

Day at Othona  Thank  you to everyone, especially Valerie and Andy, who made last Sunday such a success and give thanks to God for the beautiful weather.

Word Alive 2017   Although for some of us it seems as if we have only just come back from this year’s Word Alive, it is time to start thinking about booking for next year. This year a group of 36 of us went from Fullbridge and we enjoyed a great time of Bible Teaching, Fellowship & Fun together. We would love it if even more could join us in 2017.  The dates are 8th-13th April 2017.  Cost for half board is £225 per adult; £200 per child (over 2).

The bookings open at the beginning of July and it gets booked up very quickly so we will need definite numbers and deposits by Sunday 3rd July.  Sarah Reynolds has some brochures and if you would like to see one, she will have some at church on Sunday.

More information can be found on the Word Alive website: https://wordaliveevent.org

Madon Food Bank If you would like to contribute there is a box in the entrance hall for donations of non-perishable food.
