Home Group Questions

1.To what extent does the church have a “prophetic” ministry today? How is it fulfilled in practice?

2.God’s message through Isaiah was a mixture of severe judgement and joyful hope. How faithful are we as a church in the presentation of God’s message?

3.What conditions in our own land at this time might cause the prophet to deliver a similar message? Do we share the prophet’s concern? What should our response be as individuals and as a church?

4.Have you recently felt you have received a “message from God.” Is it something you could share with the group

John Murphy Watch a video of John in Greece, recently posted by Samaritan’s Purse, at Caitlin and Nathan would be grateful for your prayers as they start a Christian Union at the Lower Plume. Welcoming Team   Are you the person/s we need to stand by the front door on Sunday mornings with John and Barney to help meet and greet people coming into the service? No experience required just a warm welcome and smile and no age restriction! If you feel you are that person please speak to Ann Frost.

Try Praying  According to the “Talking Jesus” research, one in four 18-34 year olds think Jesus was a mythical figure. “Try Praying” invites people who don’t know Jesus to discover that, not only did he live, but he is alive today and answering people’s prayers.   You can find out more at and then consider sharing the website with your friends.

If you have any notices please let Sheila Little have them by Friday lunchtime at the latest. Please also mark emails “notices” otherwise I might not see them.

Use of Fullbridge  If you wish to use the church at any time please check with the deacons first to make sure it is ok and then contact Sheila Little to book the date. If you borrow anything from the church please make a note on the list in the back hall and also note when it is returned.

Maldon Food Bank If you would like to contribute there is a box in the entrance hall for donations of non-perishable food.

Sunday morning children’s activities

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities.

We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, who meet upstairs.

Pepper and Mustard+  Infant and Junior groups, for up to secondary school age, who meet downstairs in the back hall.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
