Home Group Questions
1 – It has been said that the history of humanity is “one long search for God”. How does the cross help humanity in this search?
2 – From Rom 3: 21-26 (and other passages) how does the centrality of the cross and its significance to us as believers separate us from other religions?
3 – Why do others see it as foolishness (1 Cor 1:18) while others so object to the message of the cross in our experience?
4 – The cross shows the self-sacrifice – sacrificial love of God. Why was a blood sacrifice needed/was the only way – to remove sin?
5 – From Rom 3: 27-31 how do we explain the place faith and deeds have in the Christian faith?
Practical challenge: from this passage(s) put into your own words why the cross is significant to you.
Welcoming Team – WANTED Are you the person/s we need to stand by the front door on Sunday mornings with John and Barney to help meet and greet people coming to the service? No experience required just a warm welcome and smile and no age restriction! If you feel you are that person please speak to Ann Frost. If you have any notices please let Sheila Little have them by Friday lunchtime at the latest. Please also mark emails “notices” otherwise I might not see them.
Use of Fullbridge If you wish to use the church at any time please check with the deacons first to make sure it is ok and then contact Sheila Little to book the date. If you borrow anything from the church please make a note on the list in the back hall and also note when it is returned.
