Welcome to this morning’s family service The service speaker today is Ed Jones.   There will be a bring and share lunch after the service. Everyone is invited to stay. Tea and coffee will be served before the service.

Sunday morning prayer meeting A prayer meeting, to which all are invited, is held at 10:10 am. Do join us in the Youth room upstairs as we prepare in this important way together.

Coffee rota Rob Lamb and Ali Mather are responsible for coffees and teas today and next week it will be Gavin and Ann Frost.

Prayer If you would like someone to pray with you after the service Paul Gymer and Michael Chambers will be available.

Pepper, Mustard+ and Mustard Christmas Party Reminder

Doreen Blowers is feeling much better after the blood transfusion on Wednesday. She has to have further tests and is waiting to hear from Broomfield about these.

Tomorrow Evening, Monday 7th December 7.30 We will be singing carols with the people at Embassy Court.

10th December Carol singing at Brewster House We have been invited to take a short carol service at the residential care home in Heybridge on Thursday 10th December, 2-3pm.  If you are able to come along, please let Andrew or Rachel know.
Alternative Christmas Card A card will be put on the notice board in the back hall during December for anyone who would like to write their Christmas wishes to the fellowship. There will be a pot for donations. This money will be passed onto a charity in the New Year. In the past we have given it to Samaritan’s Purse and to the school that Bee and Ross are involved with for the purchase of books.

Thursday 10th December There will be a combined prayer meeting and communion at the church on Thursday. Please try to get along as it is very important that we pray, as a church, for the various Christmas Events which are happening in the next few weeks.

Date for your 2016 diary There will be a Fellowship meeting in the afternoon on the 8th May 2016.

Town Carol service:  13 December, 4:30 at the URC, Market Hill Ralph will be taking part in the service as the offering will be going towards the work of Samaritan’s Purse with the Syrian refugees.
Carol singing at Maldon Fire Station, 2:30-4pm on Thursday 17th December. We have been invited along to this event where there will be guests from Moat Housing.  This will be a great outreach opportunity – so please sign up if you can join us.  Singing will only be for half-an-hour.

Saturday 19th December Maldon’s Big and Little Sing and on 20th December Big Sing Gospel Choir and from The Heart Gospel Choir. Both events will be held at Quest’s Showroom in Maldon. Doors open at 6.30 for 7.00. Tickets £8/£6. The box office number is 01276 512292. Further details are on the notice board in the back hall

Operation Christmas Child We had over 30 people turn up on Wednesday evening and managed to process over 1200 boxes.  Praise the Lord!  We have another 15,000 boxes to do in the next 2 weeks.  Chelmsford are now very short of fillers (not sweets) so if anybody has any to bring we would be really grateful.

Ralph will be hosting another sorting session at the Chelmsford Warehouse especially for people who would normally volunteer at the Maldon warehouse on Tuesday 8th December from 6 – 9pm.  So, if you are free, please do come to support him and give Chelmsford an extra helping hand.  Please can you let him know if you are able to come?  He can be contacted by email on ralph.gilly@sky.com or by text / phone on 07906 946 085.  Unfortunately we can’t co-ordinate transport; please can you make your own way to the warehouse which is located at 23 Springfield  Lyons Approach, Chelmsford, CM2 5LB.

Sunday 13th December – Delivery of Christmas invitations to Heybridge Approach estate. The time has changed to 2.30 – 4.00pm so that people can go the Town Carol Service if they wish.

Maldon Food Bank If you would like to contribute there is a box in the entrance hall for donations of non-perishable food.

Use of Fullbridge  If you wish to use the church at any time please check with the deacons first to make sure it is ok and then contact Sheila Little to book the date. If you borrow anything from the church please make a note on the list in the back hall and also note when it is returned.

 Sunday morning children’s activities

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities.

We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, who meet upstairs.

Pepper and Mustard+  Infant and Junior groups, for up to secondary school age, who meet downstairs in the back hall.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
