Debbie & Simon’s wedding, 24th October

Many thanks to those people who have volunteered to make cakes for Debbie and Simon’s wedding, your help is greatly valued!

Cakes can be delivered to Church on Friday evening between 7-9pm where Rob Bennett will be pleased to receive them or, on Saturday morning from 9am onwards.

If anyone has any cake stands that they are happy to lend us for the day, please Val.

And one last thing!

If the weather is wet, we would like to borrow as many umbrellas as possible, if you can help please contact Val.

Thank you.

Operation Christmas Child  Drivers are required next month to assist with box collection from various places. If you feel you could help please contact Ralph or Gilly Springett. Family Service – Sunday 1st November – will be focusing on Operation Christmas Child. During the service Ralph and Gilly would like the children and young people to make up shoeboxes and request that over the next two weeks members bring gifts of shoebox fillers to enable them to do this (a box or bin will be available to deposit these items in). ALSO they would love people to bring their own filled shoeboxes to the service so that the children can collect them during the service and display them at the front of the Church. Many thanks from all the children who will be receiving one of these wonderful gifts.

Sunday morning children’s activities

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church.

On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities.  We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, who meet upstairs.

Pepper and Mustard+  Infant and Junior groups, for up to secondary school age, who meet downstairs in the back hall.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

Maldon Food Bank If you would like to contribute there is a box in the entrance hall for donations of non-perishable food. The Harvest Service on Sunday 25th October will be collecting non-perishable food for the local Food Bank.
