Welcome to this morning’s service. The service leader is Andy Mugford and the speaker is Matthew Springett. Tea and coffee will be served in the back hall after the service.

A prayer meeting, to which everyone is invited, is held every Sunday morning from approx 10.00 am -10.15 am in the upstairs room. We would encourage all who are taking part in the service and youth activities to attend.

Coffee rota Simon and Judy are responsible for teas and coffees this week. Next week it will be Julian and Carolyn.

Prayer If you would like to pray with someone after the service Barbara Diaper and Richard Little will be available.

Ross would be grateful for your prayers as he takes the service at Mersea this evening and next Sunday he will be taking two services in Lowestoft.

Home Groups

Shirley’s group will be meeting at Ross and Bertie’s.

Phil and Anne’s group will be meeting at Rob’s.

Meeting about Tiddlers – Monday 5th October at 18 Norfolk Close, at 7.30 to discuss the future of Tiddlers. If you would like to join the Tiddler team please come along. If you have any queries please speak to Rachel, Richard or Sheila.

Home Group questions

  1. As Christian’s what aspects of our society and culture do we find difficult?  What are the sins of our age that we find offensive?
  2. Read Romans 2:1-16. In what ways do our own lives reflect these same aspects of our society and culture?  How do we participate in the sins of our age?
  3. Our passage reminds us of where we stand with God if we do not know the forgiveness of Jesus.  How does this change our appreciation of Jesus?

Samaritans Purse Shoeboxes Yes, it’s that time of the year again! At the moment Morrisons are selling bags of Haribo sweets for 50p a bag. They are the perfect size for shoeboxes and they have a long best before date.

Vinjeru School Trust In order to raise some funds for the School Trust there will be bags of apples for sale in the back hall this morning. The suggested donation is £1 and there will be a box for your donations.

Cameo Monday’s Cameo is open to all adults who are free during the day.  This Monday, 28th, we are meeting at 2pm for a “Table games’ experience”.  Please do join us, bring your favourite game and bring a friend too if you can.  More details from Andrew & Rachel.

Sunday morning children’s activities

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church.

On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities.  We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, who meet upstairs.

Pepper and Mustard+  Infant and Junior groups, for up to secondary school age, who meet downstairs in the back hall.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
