Home Group questions

Some Groups may find there is too much here so just see what seems important to your Group. Some questions may be best handled with prayer in twos or threes.

Read Luke 15 vv 11-32. Check up on Ephesians 1 vv 3-4, Eph 3 vv 17-18, Romans 8 v 38.

1.We are ‘chosen by God and marked by his love’; we are beloved of God. What gets in the way of us walking in this truth and forgetting our true identity in Him? Can we think of times when we have felt that we have had to earn love? Can we trust unconditional love when we receive it? How can we help one another in affirming our true identity in Christ?

2.Have the difficulties of this life ever pushed you to a place where you knew it must be right to let go of more of the unnecessary clutter in your life in order to walk more closely with Jesus? Who or what can help us not to get cluttered up again?

3.Do we sometimes find it hard to receive God’s forgiveness? ‘Guilt is the hardest idol to break down’. Do we have other idols (what we think about in our idle moments) that get in the way of our love relationship with God?

4.Do we believe our church needs each of us to be Christ-centred and Christ-sent? If so, how can we help one another to fulfil that calling?

Date for your diary – Fellowship Meeting Sunday March 8th at 4.00pm followed by bring and share tea at 5.30pm.

Notices If you have any items for the notices please let Sheila Little have them by Friday lunchtime. If you are emailing

Children and Young People’s Groups on Sunday mornings.

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities. We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, downstairs in the Back Hall.

Pepper: a Junior group, for up to secondary school age, upstairs in the Green Room.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
