This week’s notices………

Welcome to this morning’s family service   Today’s speaker and service leader is Andrew Mugford. Tea and coffee will be served in the back hall after the service.

A prayer meeting, to which everyone is invited, is held every Sunday morning from approx 10.00 am -10.15 am in the upstairs room. We would encourage all who are taking part in the service and youth activities to attend.

Risk Assessments If you are organising an event which is not one of the normal activities held in the church or home groups please remember to complete a risk assessment form. You will find them in the kitchen cupboard in a yellow folder. They are self-explanatory but if you have any queries please contact Richard Reynolds

Make and Sew  Sarah has cancelled the first Make & Sew as she is not able to make that date and therefore the first Make and Sew will be on the 19th January.

Also, is anyone interested in a microwave – for free.  If so please see Sarah Hammond.

Magazine Rack There are new magazines from Open Doors and Interact (SGM Lifewords) in the rack. Prayer  Andy and Rachel Mugford will be available if you would like someone to pray with you after the service.

Security Rota   Andrew Mugford is responsible for locking up today and next week it is Paul Gymer.

Home GroupsThe new home groups commence this week.Shirley’s group will be meeting at Shirley’s.Ann and Philip’s group will be meeting at Kate and Gavin’s.For the other groups please contact your House Group leaders for details of the venues for your groups.

If you wish to use the Church at any time, please check with one of the Deacons to make sure it is ok. Please then contact Sheila Little to check availability in the diary.

Notices If you have any items for the notices please let Sheila Little have them by Friday lunchtime. If you are emailing please put the subject as “notices” as this makes it easier for me to pick them out. 

Catering for Andy and Rachel’s commendation service – Saturday 10th January at 3.00pm. 

We would like various sandwiches, cut into quarter triangles, and cakes. Please see the list below and let Ann Frost or Val Lamb know if you are able to provide something and what you have chosen.

One white loaf – half cheese, half cheese and beetroot

One brown loaf – half cheese, half cheese and chutney or pickle

One white loaf – half ham, half ham and chutney or pickle

One brown – ham salad

One brown loaf – tuna, sweetcorn and mayonnaise

One white – chicken bacon and lettuce

One brown – egg and cress

Please let Ann or Val know quantities of

Individual cakes

Sliced cake

Biscuit tray bake/fridge cake

Food can be dropped off before the service at 2.30pm – 2.45pm if plated up ready to serve (there are some large silver trays and plates in the Fullbridge kitchen you may take home and use). Alternatively please let Val or Ann know if you would like to drop food off earlier to be plated up at Fullbridge or you would like it to be collected. 

Maldon Food Bank If you wish to contribute there is a box in the entrance hall for donations of non-perishable food.

Children and Young People’s Groups on Sunday mornings.

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities. We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, downstairs in the Back Hall.

Pepper: a Junior group, for up to secondary school age, upstairs in the Green Room.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
