Welcome to this morning’s service our speaker is Peter Charlesworth and the service leader is Michael Chambers. Tea and coffee will be served in the back hall after the service.

A prayer meeting, to which everyone is invited, is held every Sunday morning from approx 10.00 am -10.15 am in the upstairs room. We would encourage all who are taking part in the service and youth activities to attend.

OCC Warehouse At the time of printing the notices no warehouse has been forthcoming. Please pray that this will happen very soon as we need to set up on the 1st November which is just two weeks away.

Bar n Bus helpers needed Friday evenings at the Prom are seeing a good number of young people turn up but there are not enough helpers to open both floors of the bus.  As the weather becomes wetter and colder, this is a significant limiting factor.  Please have a word with Jean-Marc, Richard Hornet or Andy if you are interested in volunteering, with a “look and see with no strings attached” to start with.

Leprosy Mission Stamp Fair – Saturday 25th October at the URC Maldon from 10.00am -1.00pm. If you have any stamps for the Leprosy Mission please let John Weavers have them as soon as possible.

Women for Christ’s Quiet Day 8th November at Stanway Evangelical Church Colchester from 9.30am. If you are interested there are application forms on the notice board in the back hall.

New Year’s Eve – Yes 2015 is rapidly drawing closer and we are planning a New Year’s Eve party at the Church.  Please put this in your diary.  Further information will be available nearer the time.

And finally, Don’t forget to put your clocks back an hour next weekend (26th October) as British Summer time ends.   (What a horrible thought!)

Children and Young People’s Groups on Sunday mornings.

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities. We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, with crèche, downstairs in                   the Back Hall.

Pepper: a Junior group, for up to secondary school age, upstairs in the Green Room.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.

Maldon Food Pantry If you would like to donate to the Maldon Food Pantry there is a box in the entrance hall for your donations. The types of food required are rice, pasta, tinned food of all kinds, dried food, breakfast cereals, tea, coffee, biscuits, squash – in other words anything that is non-perishable.
