This weeks notices

Welcome to this morning’s service our speaker is Peter Grinham and the service leader is Andy Mugford. Tea and coffee will be served in the back hall after the service.

Harvest ServiceAn amount of £470 was raised last Sunday for the SP Raising Families project. Thank you to everyone who contributed towards this amount and to those who contributed towards the large amount of food which has been delivered to the Maldon Food Pantry.

A prayer meeting, to which everyone is invited, is held every Sunday morning from approx 10.00 am -10.15 am in the upstairs room. We would encourage all who are taking part in the service and youth activities to attend.

  1. V 25-34 What mistakes were the people making and how do folk make similar mistakes today?

Leprosy Mission Stamp Fair – Saturday 25th October at the URC Maldon from 10.00am -1.00pm If you have any stamps for the Leprosy Mission please let John Weavers have them as soon as possible. October Missionary Offering This month’s offering for Katherine and Anita Keith-Gillon who work in Colombia amounted to £647.50. This has been rounded up to £650 and sent on to Katherine and Anita. Coffee Rota  Help is still needed – please have a word with Ann Frost if you would like to join the rota either to make the coffee or help with the washing up.

Operation Christmas Child is due to start next month and, at the moment, we do not have a warehouse. Please pray that this will be forthcoming soon.

Also, for those who hate covering boxes there are some self-assembly boxes in the back hall which cost 35p each.

Children and Young People’s Groups on Sunday mornings.

On the first Sunday of the month we all stay together in Church. On the remaining Sundays the children join the first part of the service, then go to separate parts of the building for their activities. We have three groups:

Mustard: an Early Years group, with crèche, downstairs in                  the Back Hall.

Pepper: a Junior group, for up to secondary school age, upstairs in the Green Room.

Salt: a group for School Years 7 to 11, upstairs in the Youth Room on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month.
