Read 1 Samuel 13 v23 to 14 v 23
1. What are the main lessons the narrator wants us to learn from this passage?
2. Is there anything to be learnt from Jonathan’s statement in v12 “…the Lord has given them into the hand of Israel” instead of saying “…..the Lord has given them into our hands” ?
3. There are other similar incidents of faith in God in impossible situations that are recorded in the Bible. Can you name some of them?
4. Can you share with the Group a personal experience where you trusted in God and saw him at work in a difficult situation?
5. What stops us trusting in God like Jonathan?
