Welcome to this morning’s service. The service leader is Ross Power and the speaker is Peter Grinham. Tea and coffee will be served in the back hall after the service. Prayer If you would like someone to pray with you after the service Richard Little and Michael Chambers will be available.

A prayer meeting, to which everyone is invited, is held every Sunday morning from 10.00 am-10.15 am in the upstairs room. We would encourage all who are taking part in the service and youth activities to attend.

October missionary offering – £630 will be sent to Anita and Kathleen Keith-Gillon who work in Colombia. Home groups Ross and Bertie’s group will be meeting at Hannah’s. Jeremy and Philippa’s group will be meeting at Kate and Gavin’s. Shirley’s group will be meeting at Ken and Ellen’s. Friday group – contact Val or Peter for details. Anne and Philip’s group will be meeting at Anne and Philip’s and will be starting the discipleship course.

Home group questions 2 Corinthians 3 1.In what ways are we made effective letters for Christ? How does God achieve this?(verses 1-6) 2.In what ways is the new covenant better than the old? (verses 7-11) 3.How can we effectively reflect the Lord’s glory? (verses 12-17)

On Saturday 26th October at Fullbridge there will be a Macmillan “coffee morning” which will be from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm which is more of a coffee day! There will be arts and crafts, hand massaging and nail painting, a watercolour taster session and lots of coffee, tea and cakes. Volunteers and cakes are required and if you can help please have a word with Shirley Murphy.

Echoes magazine Shirley Webb will soon be renewing the order for “Echoes”. This magazine is full of news from missionaries around the world, including Simon and Judy, and is a great help for intelligent prayer. If anyone would like to be added to the list of those who receive the magazine for 2014 please let Shirley know as soon as possible. The annual cost if £21.50.

The Leprosy Mission Stamp Fair will be held at the URC on the 26th October. If you have any stamps for the Fair please let John Weavers have them.

Prayer for OCC – Please pray that the warehouse Ralph has found will be available and that the owners will be agree to let us use it for this year’s Shoebox campaign. Please also pray this week for the OCC team of volunteers. Pray for for those people who have helped with Maldon’s shoebox campaign in the past that they will be willing to help again this year and pray for new people to come on board to help with this work.

MAKE & SEW SALE – Today and Meet on Monday on Monday 14th October. Fabric bags and other craft items which have been made by the ladies of the Fullbridge sewing group will be on sale today after the service and tomorrow at Meet on Monday. All proceeds will go towards Samaritan’s Purse /Operation Christmas Child. Ideal Christmas gifts/stocking fillers.
